Develop an Elevator Speech

What is an Elevator Speech?

An elevator speech is a brief description (30 seconds to 2 minutes) of your story in a way that listeners can understand in a short period of time: who you are, what the Peer Alliance does, why legislation is needed and how it will impact your life and the rest of the community. The pitch doesn't have to include all of these parts, but it helps to explain the Peer Alliance and its values. You can also promote equal rights and advocate for a recovery-based mental health system by explaining why it matters to you.
